JELADO 44 Leather Jacket

Retail Description: This jacket uses a highly valuable 1st model from World War II, which is considered very valuable in the vintage market. It has four front buttons, both made of laurel wreath. A buckle is attached to the back. There are simple flapless pockets on the front. The back features a T-back design, which is now a popular style. The material used is approximately 1.6mm thick horsehide, which has been combination-tanned (chrome x tannin). After chrome tanning, the solvent is washed off and then it is tanned again with tannin to bring out the advantages of tannin, aiming for a leather with a moderate weight and a texture that will improve with wear. After dyeing the base coat light brown, it was sprayed black using the hill dyeing method at a long-established finishing factory in Tokyo. This is what is known as brown-core leather. This time, in order to bring out a stronger black, pigment and dye were mixed in equal parts. The leather is colored using a semi-aniline finish. The dye that colors the base and the pigment that forms the top coating match perfectly, resulting in a beautiful aging process as you wear it. Because the leather is soft, which cannot be achieved with 100% pigment, and has a thin coating, it is comfortable to wear, and the brown base color gradually shows through as you wear it.
